Sea Salt Hair Spray for Beachy Waves

IMG_6407.JPG

What you need:

Small Spray Bottle

Small Mixing Bowl and Funnel

Wood spoon

Water

Sea Salt

Aloe Vera

Essential Oils of Choice - I used Lavender and Eucalyptus on this one.

How to make:

1. Mix 1/2 cup of water with 1 Teaspoon on Sea Salt into bowl. I like to grind up the sea salt a bit so it is a little bit finer.

2. Mix in 1 Teaspoon of Aloe Vera. Stir well until everything is dissolved.

3. Add in about 4-6 drops* of oil(s) of your choice. I did 3 drops of Eucalyptus and 3 drops of Lavender.

4. Pour contents into spray bottle with funnel and cap the bottle. Shake mixture to mix well.

*Typically it is 3-5 drops of essential oil for every 100ml in something like a diffuser or carrier oil.

How to use:

Spray into pieces of hair and use fingers to scrunch up strands and ends. This should help get that beach wave look.

I usually use on dry hair, but it can be used on wet hair as well.

I feel like it works best when hair is a little dirty and it needs a little boost.

It can also help with volume if sprayed on roots.

FYI, too much spray can kind of dry out your hair.

A great guide for Essential Oils: https://www.nontoxicreboot.com/essential-oils-guide/

Next time around: I think I might use rosemary or cedar next time instead of eucalyptus…as both promote hair growth! I would also like to try this spray with coconut oil instead of essential oil at some point.
